    Erection of the forging shop
  • 1949
    Schwermaschinenbau “Heinrich Rau” is established
  • 1954
    Commencement of crankshaft manufacturing

    The company is renamed Schwermaschinenbau AG Wildau near Berlin (SMB AG)

    Wildauer Kurbelwelle GmbH emerges from SMB AG

    Activation of 6 new CNC work centres for machining crankshafts to a length of 10,500 mm
